TI on Real Women Scrap TV

Check out this fun video of Tinkering Ink being showcased on Real Women Scrap TV.  How fun is this?

Digital:Hop on and enjoy the ride!

Santa1 The big talk of the CHA (and even on my plane back from the CHA) was digital scrapbooking!  We love it too.  We know you are out there and you want to try it and now is the perfect time!

With free trial downloads of Photoshop available on the Adobe website and tons of online tutorials by scrappers just like you, you can start out and get help every step of the way!  Once you start getting a bit more familiar with Photoshop, we recommend Renee Pearson's books Digital Designs for Scrapbooking 1 & 2.  They are wonderful resources for scrappers to get easy to follow, step-by-step instructions for digital scrapping.

Once you download your free trial of Photoshop and are ready to roll there are a gazillion digital freebies out there on the Internet to get your feet wet with without having to spend money.  You can just google "digital scrapbooking freebie" and you'll find plenty of goodies for download.  We also highly recommend the Echoes of Asia kit by Jessica Sprague from the Creating Keepsakes website.  It's where I started and was so easy it helped me overcome my digital intimidation.  It is a beautiful matching kit with paper, elements and other cute embellies that can get you started without intimidation.

And, of course, Tinkering Ink, offers all of our paper lines in digital form.  This makes it perfect to do digital or hybrid scrapping and you know all of the elements will match our papers perfectly.  And we do have a digital den on our Message Board where you can hop in and ask our experts any questions you would like (no matter how beginner you think it is!) and we will answer and stay with you until you fully understand!  You can find tutorials and a share gallery there for your very first digital layout masterpieces!

So our challenge to you is to take the digital plunge!  You'll be hopping on a wave that is going to continue to grow and grow and we think you'll find the possibilities with digital are endless.  Although I will never give up my paper, digital is a new passion of mine and is here to stay!  So give it a try!

Meetings with Publishers

Over the last 2 months, our team has met several times with the editors of many major scrapping magazines. Our experiences with them have been amazing!

Not only did they go crazy for our products (especially our new embellishments called "finery"...more on those later), but everyone we met with was genuinely nice, fun and absolutely passionate about their jobs.

Many of our talented Design Team's projects were chosen for publication and we look forward to our customers being able to see beautiful Tinkering Ink layouts, altered items and cards in their favorite magazines. We find our Design Team's work inspiring and know you will too! We will be introducing our DT on this blog and we know you will fall in love with them as much as we have.

So far, our business meetings have been just wonderful and we are convinced that this industry is the best in the world!
