SUPER-Fans!

Wow!  You guys are the best fans ever.  I might even classify you as groupies!  LOL!

And here is your reward.  The first glimpse of the new Tinkering Ink line called PROVINCIAL FARE. In this year's fashion, navy blue is the new black and we are ready to outfit your layouts in this sleek and classic combination.

And here's a little peek at a few more papers from this line.

I know.
Isn't it gorgeous?

Waddya think?

Let Us Hear Some Noise!

Rockstar_mark Have you ever been to a rock concert?
I mean a real ROCK concert.

At some point, the bandana clad front man usually screams "(insert city her)...I want to hear some NOISE!" and the croud goes wild. But of course it's never enough. And he screams at them again "I SAID I want to hear some NOISE!!!" And then the crown goes INSANE-O! And that's when the Rock Star gives them what they want. The signature song.

Okay Tinkering Ink fans. We want to hear some NOISE! And if 20 different individuals leave comments on this post we will then give you want you want...more SNEAK PEEKS!

So get commenting and let's whip this crowd into a frenzie!!!

More Little Peeks!

We know how hard it is to wait for the official CHA sneak peeks to come out.  To see an entire line with it's coordinating embellishments is so delightful.  But c'mon....you KNOW we have to reveal it little by little.  What's the fun if we don't get to tease a bit?

And so here's a layout using the coming THISTLE HILL line.  Because this line is inspired by the beautiful landscape of Scotland, I simply had to scrap one of my beautiful little redheaded daughters.

And because we love you....here's little sampling of three of the papers from the same line.  Hope this wets your appetite for creativity!

You asked for it... You got it...

Well gals, here is a peek (or two) of what I have been working on since I got home from Florida.  With Emilie's permission (since she is queen of our blog) I am posting a picture of the shirts I am sewing for our girls to wear at the CHA booth.  Also a few papers from one of our new lines called "Wild Woodland"  Get ready because if you keep checking back... Emilie, our DT and I will have more goodies in the next week for you to feast your eyes on.  We might even have a little drawing for some new product if you leave a comment!

CHA Sneaks Coming Soon

Can you feel it in the air?
The CHA is almost upon us.

We are already hearing stirrings of excitement.  Whispers of possible design elements which will be featured on our new lines. And even we are having a difficult time containing our excitement.

Not only do we have new lines to make you giddy with excitement, but we have also been working on a Super-Secret new product which is sure to make you jump right out of your seat and shout HOORAY!

LabBecause of the top secret nature of our new fabulous products we do not allow cameras into our testing facilities, but we did have a court sketch artist come in and draw this rendering of Paul and Kezia (pictured right) slaving away to get the elements of their W-CHA releases just right!  There are WAY more chemicals involoved with good scrap supplies than you would think!

So just as a heads up. you may want to check back here, on the Tinkering Ink blog ummm...I dunno.....around January 31st.  I'm just saying.  Wink wink. Nudge nudge.

Trust me.
You will be excited!
And you will call your crop circle to tell them all about it.

Home at last! Just ME Sarah Jessica and Jared Leto!

When I stepped off the plane and entered the Saltlake City airport I was hit by a frozen tundra and I found myself longing for Florida and the warm weather there.  As I looked around the airport I realized that it was much more crowded than usual...suddenly I realized that I was standing by a lot of people in full length fur coats!  Then I noticed someone who I thought might have been Jared Leto...then Sarah Jessica Parker...weird!  Jared Sarah

What would they be doing in my local airport?  Then I realized...it is the Sundance film Festival this week!  After I got my suitcases I drove home... only stopping at my sister's house to give her Stickles and at the Chiropractor to fix my sore back!  Ahhh... there is nothing like kisses from a three year old that missed his mommy and getting to sleep in my own bed!  Overall my Florida experience was certainly wonderful and I would go back in a heartbeat!  Cruise anyone?

Stone Creek Creations

At the end of the day when everything was finished at Gemstone and Beads, my good friend Terri Gordon stopped by brought me some great gifts!  She gave me my own Krafters Purse, KPmini and the Komfycush!  I was thrilled and it was really great to see her.  Sue, Terri and I headed out for dinner and had a super delicious goat cheese and tomato bisque and a peanut butter desert that was to die for!  We chatted away and really enjoyed talking about the upcoming CHA.  If you haven't tried Terri's Komfycush then you should!  It is just what any crafter needs for her tush!  Altered_kp_med

We said goodbye and Sue Dees drove me to my Ant-Free hotel where I watched Real housewives of the OC and fell asleep.  Thank you Sue Dees for driving me all over Orlando and for helping me get my little boys Mickey Ears!  I was a hit when I got home!  You went above and beyond and I am grateful for you!

Oh! Bannatyne! Gemstones, Beads and Scrapbooking!

Well it was time for my final day in Florida and I was driven from Sarasota to Orlando by a lovely gentleman whose wife is a botanical artist...It was so interesting to talk with him on our drive.  She draws the technically perfect renderings of each species of flower, fruit, plant and vegetable.  Her artwork was amazing!  Sue Dees picked me up and took me to a dreamy Shop called Gemstone and Bead Imports.  This shop is owned by Angela Bannatyne and her sweet Mom Suzanne works with her as well.  Gemstone and Beads is like walking into a tropical paradise.  The colors and textures in this store are phenomenal!  I bought myself some gorgeous beads and stones as well as a pile of scrapbook stuff!  Angela had made a box that was so innovative using embossing powder and paint that I bought all of the supplies to head home and make my own.  She is one creative girl and it shows in her shop.  Angela has awesome creations and artwork as well as unique handmade jewelery all over her store.  It is truly inspiring. I was privileged to teach all three classes to an exquisite group of ladies.  The classes were divine and I really enjoyed myself!  Thank you ladies for being so kind and putting up with my sore back!

Now you may be wondering why the title of this post says Oh Bannatyne!  Well My Grandmother's maiden name is Bannatyne and I have a little sister named Bannatyne and a little niece named Ella Bannatyne! You may have already guessed that is not a common name...so when I met Angela I was pleasantly surprised to find out her last name!  Her DH's family and my family are both Scottish and I am sure that we must be related somewhere back in our genealogy.  How cool and random is that?  Check out the photos of Angela and I as well as the ladies in the class.  Can you see the divine necklace Angela gave me as a Thank You for teaching the classes?  Honestly if you are ever in the Orlando area this is a store you don't want to miss... perhaps you could drop the kids off at Disney World and then you could spend some wonderful uninterrupted hours at Angela's store!

Img_1953 look at my fab necklace that Angela made for me... what a gem! (no pun intended)

P.S. Ladies Angela's store is going to have our new product for a special debut before anyone else in Florida!  In fact she will have it during the CHA!  Watch for the information on her blog!

K2 is a "10"

So after my super time at The Scrapbook Shoppe Amy and Jocie drove down and picked me up and we headed to K2 in Sarasota.  This store is chic!  Complete with black and cream damask curtains and chandeliers... how could it be any better?  I arrived ready and jumped right into teaching the beLOVEd "love notes" class to a large group of ladies!  It was so magnificent to see ladies in the class change up the project and make it their own!  I love to see that creative freedom! Wings

After the class I wandered around K2 and got some great stuff.. I must say that Karen, Amy and Gail have done a super job filling the store with unique and unusual items.. like little vintage looking silver angel wings and antique postage stamps!  They have a real eye for style!  Karen then treated us to a delicious dinner at a local downtown restaurant where I ate Iowa corn-fed beef and it was so tender I could cut it with my butter knife!  My only regret about dinner was that I left my doggie bag at Karen's house!  Dinner was so pleasant as we got to chat and know each other better!  Eating with Kim, Jocie, Nikki, Amy, Gail and all the K2 Gang was a blast!  Nikki made me a gorgeous vase designed by Gail and I can hardly wait to fill it with beautiful twigs and fresh flowers!
