I LOVE my kids...
I LOVE my own bed...
I LOVE not having to pay $8.00 for a single ice cream cone...
It's true... "there's no place like home"
(stay tuned later today for fun photos of NYC and don't forget the "vintage" contest deadline is almost here!)
Saturday morning we set up our booth at the show and then headed to a really fun street fair. We ate fabulous food and waited for the lottery line to open at the Gershwin Theater.
The lottery line opened at 5:30 PM and we put our names in the drawing. You are only allowed to put your name in once. There were over 250 people with their names in the drum. They only picked 12 out of the drum... our odds were well, pretty bad. We decided that if we didn't get picked we would hook up with friends of ours and perhaps see a movie. The guy came out and started to spin the drum around... then he stuck his hand in and picked out the first name...
Paul Whitteker! What luck! We got front row seats to see Wicked for $26.50 each! It was a great show! My favorite part was the costumes! They were absolutely incredible! Vivid colors and design details that make your head spin! We dropped into bed that night happy and fully satisfied with our NYC experience!
Read my new Sci-Fi book on the plane... Host, by Stephenie Meyer. Now I am here in NYC and I love it!
The home of Wicked, A Salt and Battery, Food Network, Project Runway, H&M, Etsy, Mood... oh yeah, and the National Stationary Show!
Tinkering Ink is here showing our new stationary line called "heart feltz". Aside from the trade show we are going to hang out with a few of the gals from Simple Scrapbooks, Paper Crafts and Digital Scrapbooking Magazines. I am also hoping to win in the lottery line and get to see Wicked and eat tons of good food... because after all, isn't it all about the food?
